This weekend the MMT crew is going on vacation! We’re headed to Colarado and the Rocky Mountains for a week of hiking, camping, sight seeing, peak bagging, and craft beer drinking. And we’ll visit with friends and family along the way, too.

We’ve picked up a copy of 100 Classic Hikes Colorado to help us out on our way to finding great hikes to do. It’s chock full of hikes that look amazing, we’ll do our best to pick out a few good ones to do. While we’re there we hope to do a 14er or two, depending on how well and how quickly we acclimatize to the elevation.

During our vacation, MarkingMyTerritory.com will be on a weeklong hiatus, but we’ll be back with some great posts from the trip. Even though we won’t be posting to MarkingMyTerritory.com, you can follow our adventures this week on Facebook and Twitter.

If you’re wanting to get out and enjoy the great outdoors this weekend and haven’t decided where to go, check out these great hikes:

  1. Alum Cave Trail on Mt. Leconte
  2. Barfield Wilderness Loop in Murfreesboro
  3. Stone Door Trails at South Cumberland State Rec Area
