Frozen Head State Park
Trailhead: 36.125093 -84.503843
Nate used Frozen Head State Park as my introduction to camping in Tennessee. Before arriving at the state park, we made a surprise pit stop at Ozone Falls, one of the many beautiful waterfalls that I’m learning Tennessee has to offer. We don’t have a formal write-up on the trails we took this day, but check out this map of the trails at Frozen Head State Park to find the right ones for you to try out your visit.
Taking advantage of the fall colors, we set up tent near a stream that fed into Flat Fork Creek.
Aside from beautiful campsites, Frozen Head provided plenty of scenic hiking, with autumn in full swing.
